When the MySensors project started back in 2014 there weren't many good alternatives for cheap versatile DIY wireless sensors. But nowadays there are plenty of cool alternatives.

The cost in time and money for keeping the servers running and updated was unfortunately unsustainable. Yes, almost all geeks have ad-blockers turned on. We tried other sources of income such as affiliate codes, but in the end it failed. We had a good run for over 10 years though!
