    • RE: Combination of networks

      good news for me...

How may I do it? Can you suggest me where I can find some descrition? I'm not sure how to configure in Arduino code. I know on the gateway I need to enable W5100 for communication with controler, but how can I tell to the gateway node that it needs to communicate to the child nodes via RS485? This is not clear to me.

Auto discovery on HOAS will be working for child nodes on RS485 as well?

Hello, I'm new in MySensors and I'm not sure if I understood the concept of MySensors correctly, so I will describe how I would like to use it and I'll be glad if somebody can comment my post, or give me some advice how to proceed.
I would like to use Ethernet gateway connected to the Home Assistant. This gateway should transmit also all the data traffic comming from and to child nodes. My concern is if the child nodes can be connected with different comm layer and protocol than the gateway itself is connected to HOAS. For example, HOAS <> MySensor's gateway = ETHERNET, Gateway <> clients (nodes) = RS485, or CAN bus, or I2C, etc... Everywhere on MySensors web I can read only that nodes are only wireless. I would like to eliminate wireless connections as much as possible, I prefer wired one because of better stability, no need for routers, no concerns about signal strength, etc...

Is it possible to do this scenario and how?

      Thank you.
