Use this instead of NRF24L01+ ?

Just found this on Ebay and was wondering if it would work in place of the NRF24L01+

The SMD NRF24 you can buy at around 1$/piece on AliExpress or Ebay are clones, but they are "good quality" clones: low power consumption, good range, no obvious compatibility issues with original NRF24s.
Those "blob" modules will not work, if they do they will have poor range and to save a few $ you will waste hours debugging your nodes and trying to find what is wrong.I bought those and they run fine. Don't try to save 5$ because you will in fact lose 4.70...

Thanks for the info. Just getting started trying to do some of this and am biting off more than I can chew. I need to get back to the basics and learn rather than jumping around too much, but there are some great things to do and I don't want to wait!
Reading the forums on different topics I have seen that the cheap way is the best way to get messed up and discouraged.
