Front Door Lock With mysensore
-
Hi all,
I'm thinking about buying a Smart Lock for my house so I can open the door without reaching for my keys (very handy if you have a hand full of groceries). There are several different models but I was wondering which one is best suited for use with Domoticz (or even if it makes sense).

Well, if you "mysensorize" it, you do not need to worry about the controller, as MySensors would abstract your lock from your controller. That is, you have a node that interfaces with your lock, the node interface with a gateway, and the gateway interface with your controller.

I use Abloy EL582 and with that you can either set it to be open as long as 12V is applied, or closed as long as 12V is applied.
Simple as that.
I control my doors with a KNX switch.
If you go with a lock like this and have the door closed when no power is applied be ware that you need a key to open in from inside in case of fire.
