Newbie with urgent house building info need
-
Hi all. My first post. I love gadgets, but home automation is brand new for me. Because of circumstances I suddenly needed to change my house. I bought a home last week. It is being renovated. Currently the internal frames and wiring are exposed; the new plaster walls will be installed in next 10 days.
I've already asked the builder to install a hub cupboard and Cat 6 to six points.
But for home automation I "don't know what I don't know". I don't know what projects I'll want to do. Right now I have a window of 10 days to easily install cabling. It's the one chance to do it!
I would appreciate any (fast) advice about "what is the smart cabling to install now that will give me lots of options for the future"?
Thanks!! David (in Melbourne, Australia) -
I think that unless you want to transfer a lot of power, Ethernet cables, Cat 5/6 are the best choice.
I am wondering if this is the right forum though, MySensors is more about wireless communication.
