    It's a rubidium atomic clock that drifts up to 1.5usec per day:

    No, I don't yet have an application in mind for this, but I was surprised to learn that such devices even existed. I imagine the price will continue to drop....

    Using a sync pulse from a GPS is, I suppose, more practical for most things we'd even contemplate doing, and certainly much cheaper.

    Anyhow, $555 is the asking price at Digikey, though it's not something they stock.

      @neverdie it reminds me Fallout for some reason :) I would like to have also atomic power cell for my projects in similar form factor.

          @neverdie I mean the game. They have everything "nuke" and "atomic".
