Boards manager package does not install Sensebender gateway

Using Arduino 1.8.3, I installed the SAMD boards package so I can now choose board = Arduino Zero. Next, since I have the Sensebender gateway board, I inserted the URL for package_mysensors.org_index.json into the Additional Boards Manager URLs in preferences. , as directed on the github.com/mysensors/ArduinoBoards page. However, this doesn't seem to do anything. The list of boards doesn't include any that weren't already there; in particular, the Sensebender gateway is not listed. Is there something else I need to do?

@guillermo-schimmel Thanks a lot ! I got it all up and running node a couple of nodes. But now I confused myself . I got an Arduino Nano as a node that also acts as a repeater, what bootloader can I push into that one? I assume anycahnnel and 16MHz should do the trick since it got that crystal attached. And also one thing that is not really clear in my head, I set the "Fuses&Lock bits" with the AVRDudess for my 328P barebone. But do I really need that? . If I load the bootloader in ARduini IDE for example I specify all those settings in the "board.txt" file. Or is that just to tell the IDE what settings is on the chip ? If I clear these two things up I think I got everything sorted now

Cool project @bsmtdweller New thread or stay in this doesn't matter much, but for people searching the forum (or their favorite search engine) in the future, I think a new thread with a subject containing "incubator" will be more clear. I would build it with multiple nodes. Smaller chunks of code, easier wiring, easier to isolate individual parts which helps tremendously when troubleshooting, easer to reuse code for one node in case you (or someone else) want to expand the project later, easier to remove a part if you (or someone else) don't need it. The non-mysensors code is more important, so I would start with that, but make sure all parameters that you want to be able to change are stored in variables and not hardcoded. Then add the MySensors code to update the values of the variables. The autonomy will be hard. Normally I would prefer to have all logic in the controller, since a controller has much better ways to program and debug stuff. Not fun to write - and maintain - in C with very rudamentary debugging tools. But as you say, being reliant on having Domoticz working all the time might not be good. Having the system fail gracefully will be a challenge. A start could be to search the forum for MY_TRANSPORT_WAIT_READY_MS to see what others have done. And maybe - to make the system as reliable as possible - you should add everything to a single node instead of splitting it up into multiple nodes.

@Koresh I do like it, i just worry for people that use their main PC as a controller. Easily knockable/damageable unless they use a rear socket.

@canossa Sorry for the late response. yeah, since is so compact and you can get it for relatively cheap I opted in for the NRF52. For home automation, I merged MySensors with Domoticz and it works for months now. https://forum.mysensors.org/topic/7836/what-did-you-build-today-pictures/738

@5546dug Yes I think you need 1.4.1 or latest. The messages you see (0;0;3;9...) are traffic in the wireless sensor network. My problem appeared again. The EthernetGateway responds to Ping but Vera plugin says: "Cannot send command - communications error" So perhaps increasing power could help, but how? Is adding capacitors enough?? Like for the radio there already is one..
