    • RE: Sound Sensor

I checked the sensor and it will output both so i'll need to do some testing there. I will tear into the motion sketch and see what damage I can do. Thank you for your input.

    • Sound Sensor

I am trying to build a custom sensor for sound detection and I do not see any sketches that match that type, I imagine since the sensor just outputs when triggered I could easily just use a switch type but I wanted to see if anyone else has used a sound sensor in a sketch combined with other sensor types.

    • RE: Sensor ACK responses

Thank you for the quick response, I will have to look that over and see if I can implement it into openhab or if anyone else has done it. So far my desk looks like a mad scientists lab with arduino parts and sensors scattered about. I do have to say I am having a blast so far digging into the code and playing with hardware.

    • Sensor ACK responses

First post so I want to say Hi to everyone and also ask a question. When building a relay switch node I noticed while toggling back and forth that there is the possibility for openhab to show that I turned a relay on but the module/sensor never received the command. Can the sensors respond back with an ACK in anyway letting me know that it received the command? Or is there a workaround that anyone has come up with to make sure that a sensor received the command it was sent?

      Thank you!
