    • RE: My Slim 2AA Battery Node
      1. Has anyone used NRF24L01+ + PA + LNA on these modules ?

      2. Any reason why it shouldnt work out of the box ( does AA batteries give enough power to drive them on LOW settings? )

      3. What type of battery monitoring is recommended on these ones? The resistance or the library way?

I just got 90 PCBs, beautiful, fast shipping ( i think under 2 weeks to Norway ) and looks well made.
I'll drop one in each beehive I have ( 7 ) and see how long they last

    • Long Range again

I am a beekeeper which is using SlimNode for monitoring my beehives together with Domoticz.
This works just fine for my use and scope.

I do want to easy my work burden for the swarm traps to detect if they have any new inhabitants.
The range of these are all within 5KM in lightly wooded small residencial areas.
My idea was just to use a simple DHT11 or a DS18B20 once every 2 hours.

I realize I can use a LoRaWan sensor for this but do we have any possibility for a solution within the mysensors system?
      I live in Europe. 433mhz RFM69 radio?

      Any other toughts?
