      aah sorry. will try to set a node id on arduino and then change gateway config as below.

      ./configure --my-transport=nrf24 --my-gateway=ethernet --my-port=5003

      if it is not able, how will rpi get the data?

      I was planning to communicate over NRF24L01.

      @LastSamurai said in Gateway type:

      s. Mainly depends on the physical position of the gateway I guess

      i tried to setup ethernet gateway. But i got failure message on both arduino and RPi. Is there any mistake on codes? A few days ago I tested NRF24s and were working.

    • Gateway type

      Hello,

      I need some advice on gateways. I have a RPi 3 and Arduino Pro minis. They will communicate with NRF24s. I will use arduinos as sensor and actuator. There is no sensor or actuator at RPi for now. Rpi has internet access via wifi, Arduinos don't. I installed Home Assistant manually in a virtual environment at RPi as described at their website.

      My purpose is to automate my home using every possibility like Google Assistant, Apple Home Kit, Home Assistant app from inside or outside of home network.

      Because I am a beginner, I need some help to choose gateway type and configure RPi.
