RE: What did you build today (Pictures) ?posted in General DiscussionHey @mfalkvidd were you able to get mysensors nodes to send data to thingsboard? If so, I'm interested to know how you did that. Wondering if thingsboard can be configured as a controller for mysensors. Thanks!

Combine a controller and a gateway in a raspberry piposted in General DiscussionHi guys, I was wondering if it's possible to use a raspberry pi to be both a controller and a gateway at the same time. Specifically thinking of using hass.io as the controller. Has anyone tried this? Thanks.

RE: Garage door status sensors ideasposted in General Discussion@dbemowsk it's actually a rubber chain like. I read your post. I have the same issue currently I have a reed switch at the top and the door sometimes slides past the switch.

Garage door status sensors ideasposted in General DiscussionHi guys, Happy New Year! I'm new here and really excited about the work done here. I'm working on building a garage door opener. I'm trying to find a sensor to detect if the garage door is open or closed. I don't want to use a reed switch as I want it to be wireless. Basically my sensor will connect using the Rf24l01 to the gateway. The gateway is connected to the garage opener via a relay. Any ideas of what sensors I could use to detect the status of the garage door? I looked at a tilt sensor but it doesn't help with 90 degree angles, it detects 0 and 180 degrees. Thanks!
