Termite terminal for RS485

Hello, im using the terminal "TERMITE" to send commands to a pH sensor and receive the response.I use the termite function "Function Keys" to send 2 commands every 1 minute. I put one command on F1 and another in F2. The problem is that when i press F1 the console start to send the first command but when i press F2 the console start to send the 2 commands at the same time! so the terminal send the second command when the slave is answering the first command and therefore the slave doesnt get the second command. How can i do to send 2 comands but not at the same time?
