RFM69 and nRF24L01+

It's been a while since I visited, but I keep running into a new radio component:
the RFM69.My old network still works with the nRF24L01+
So possibly asking a stupid question: Can they be mixed ? Can I just add an RFM69 to my nRF24L01 network ? Or do I need to stick with one type of radio ?

It is not possible to mix the two type of radios, but you can install a second gateway with a RFM69 module, if the controller supports multiple gateways.
