RFM69HW PCB suggestion
-
Since RFM69 modules are not as easy to mount as the nrf24, would would be your suggestion to have them mounted somehow without having them hanging by the wires?
I have seen the NRF2RFM69 but it is kind of expensive as it would cost the same as an EasyPcb. I have looked also at MySensors node but that has quite some smd components and I haven't done any smd so far (so I don't have proper tools)

@gohan I actually ordered a set of adapters yesterday Thought I'd try them and see if they are nice to work with. Maybe they could work for your use case?
You'll need matching header pins as well.

I've seen those, but they would just float around just like the rfm69 module. I'll have to convince @sundberg84 to add a socket for rfm69 on easy pcb
-
@gohan - isnt RFM69 just solder pads? I could add those on the back?
-
I don't know if it's better in the back or if it can fit in the nrf24 space

For what it is worth, i have both footprints on my latest board: https://www.openhardware.io/uploads/58c829b5bacb0bcc79a15dc9/394/controller_PCB_4.jpg
I'm pretty sure this is what sundberg has in mind when you suggested your idea here, would be pretty simple for @sundberg84 to implement, as the master that he is!

@Samuel235 - thanks! do you have a link to that library? I couldnt find it in the files.

@sundberg84 - I will grab you a link and reply on another reply here with it, bare with me while i sort my other issues out as everything is everywhere right now.
