Removing sensors from mysensors.json

I am running hassio 0.62.1 on a Pi with serial gateway
All running fine.
When I remove a sensor from Mysensors.json and save the file the sensor reappears after opening the file again!
Can't get it removed permanently.
I am using the hassio samba share to edit the mysensors.json file in the windows editor.The sensor I want to remove is NOT connected to the gateway.
Any tip?
