Please help to build Raspberry Pi Gateway

    Hello everybody!
    Please help to build Raspberry Pi Gateway.

    There is Raspberry Pi 3 model B.

    I do everything according to the instructions:
    https://www.mysensors.org/build/raspberry

    The compound NRF24L01 +

    Configuration:
    ./configure --my-transport = nrf24 --my-rf24-irq-pin = 15 --my-gateway = serial --my-serial-is-pty --my-serial-pty = / dev / ttyMySensorsGateway - -my-leds-err-pin = 12 --my-leds-rx-pin = 16 --my-leds-tx-pin = 18

    When you install branch master - I get an error
    "mysgw: Starting gateway ...
    mysgw: Protocol version - 2.2.0-beta
    mysgw: MCO: BGN: INIT GW, CP = RNNG ---, VER = 2.2.0-beta
    mysgw: TSM: INIT
    mysgw: TSF: WUR: MS = 0

    mysgw: TSM: FAIL: CNT = 1
    mysgw: TSM: FAIL: PDT "

    If I install --branch development that all does not work.

    For Domoticz, I install the port / dev / ttyUSB20.

    Perhaps there is another instruction?

    @bigvlad Make sure when you are wiring to the GPIO port on the Pi, that you are using the pin number and NOT the GPIO number for the column labeled raspberry.

    This is stated right in the docs for building the gateway.

    Don't sweat it though. If that was your mistake, it is a common one.

      i am having this same problem. I have tried so many different radios/multiple RPI's with openhabian on them. When running the test it always says.. Checked the wiring 100x and i know i have the wiring correct. have tried it with and without a 10uf capacitor across VCC and GND. I did verify I am getting 3.3v across GND and VCC.

      I've tried both
      git clone https://github.com/mysensors/MySensors.git --branch master
      AND
      git clone https://github.com/mysensors/MySensors.git --branch development

        Could you post photos of your wiring? Maybe we can help spot something.
        Could you also post the full ./configure command you used?
        Were there any warnings or errors when running make?

          @fals3illusion did you try another image for raspberry like plain raspian or dietpi?

                        I have yet to try any other images besides openhabian with MySensors. I'm at work now and in the process of installing rasbian on my test PI, once i get the rasbian configured, openhab and MQTT installed. I'll start to test and post updates.

                        Thanks for all the help! I try not to post unless I've researched for at least a whole day and ran out of all options!

                          The mysensors master branch from github that is version 2.2

                          Just install raspian, enable spi and compile the ethernet gateway, skip Openhab and mqtt for now so we keep fewer variables into play.

                                  Use master branch pls and post a photo of your setup. Did you try other Linux images other than openhabian?

                                    So, turns out that i had a pack of 10 sensors and just my luck the three that i happened to grab first to try and use were DOA. The other 7 work like a charm...

                                    Thanks for all of the help, will try not and use MQTT and openhab on it

                                      If you got the Chinese clones that sell for 10$ for 10, they are usually poor quality.

                                        Yeah, I’m guessing that’s what they are. I just got them from amazon just got into home automation and now I’m trying to learn, build, and play around with MySensors !!

                                        Which radios/sensors do you recomend for future purchases that are better quality build ?
