Does anyone have any recommendations on any lower profile header connectors that would fit an nRF24L01+ radio and a pro mini? I am currently using this style with the double row 8 pin ones for the radios:

I think I could slim down some projects if I had lower profile connectors. I think these are roughly 10mm high when mounted on the PCB. add the height of the little piece on the row of pins and you're at about 10.25mm. That makes these parts sit quite high off the board with a lot of wasted space underneath.

I usualy remove the plastic on the pinrow and cut the pins but like you said this only gets me 2-3mm less in height so I could also use some lower profile pin headers.

@mfalkvidd That looks to be my best option for now. I want to make the parts replaceable in case something goes wrong, but still want the low profile. How tight do the pins fit into those connectors?

@dbemowsk I'm at the wrong side of the Atlantic to check, but I think the entire thin part fits inside the header.
