How to remove a sensor from Vera (Newbie)

  • I am very new to this so I apologise if my question has been covered in a previous post but I need a step by step answer on this one. I have a Vera Edge running the My Sensors plugin, I have just added my first device (a door sensor) and all works well. I want to remove the node from Vera so I can re programme the sensor, I just want to try a few sketches out on one device before I buy more kit. I have tried deleting the node thinking this will remove the node and sensor but only the node dispersed. I then tried to remove the sensor in the same way but this didn't work, I then did a hard reset on the Vera and the node re appeared along with sensor and are still functioning. Could someone please explain a simple step by step way of removing the sensor.

  • When you include a sensor it creates an Arduino node and the sensor itself. Make sure to delete them both.

  • Copy and paste this into your browser. Replace at the beginning (vera_lite_ip_address) with that of the IP address of your vera controller and change the numbers at the end (666) to that of the appropriate device you're trying to delete and hit enter.

Tested this last night a number of times and worked perfectly, thanks.
