That issue is caused by the newer ESP8266 core changing yield functions. Downgrading the ESP8266 core to v2.6.2 (or v2.7.4 depending on your board setup) remains the most reliable workaround until those MySensors core PRs get merged into a main release. Keep an eye on those GitHub PRs for updates on full compatibility with current core releases!
