Thank you. Worked for me too. :)

But..before I downgraded to 2.0.0 I did a test with GatewayESP8266MQTTClient and that one did work with the 2.1.0 ESP8266 board version.
So for me, with the latest bord files for the ESP:
GatewayESP8266MQTTClient is OK
GatewayESP8266 is not OK
