While I understand the underlying reasons for that tax, I feel quite upset about what it means for makers like us who place order on inexpensive parts for which there is no good local alternative. I wish they had made it a percentage fee, not flat fee... For PCBs, unfortunately, I haven't found options as competitive as JLC/PCBWay/... The cheapet I know of is Eurocircuits, but even if you select the longer delay, it's still not competitive. Curious to read about other options.
