Arduino IDE 1.8.10 - Warning....

The new arduino 1.8.10 has problems. I updated to this and previously compiled sketches will not compile. I reverted to 1.8.9 and all is well again.

There is a lot of posts on arduino about issues with 1.8.10. - I am using the win 10 x64 version.

Still valid in 2020. Got a compilation error "Error resolving FQBN: missing". Downgrade to 1.8.9 helped

@andriej Hi, I had problem using the main branch mysensors/Raspberry, that because of the bit-field struct (header_s) in Sensor.h They will get packed in different order on the arduino compared to the RPi (at least with my compiler, gcc). In order to fix this I created the 1.4dev branch. It uses full bytes instead of the bit-fields, but you need (of cause) to compile both the sensors (arduino) and the gateway (RPi) using the 1.4dev branch. We need to fix this in the main branch later on (and use the same files as in mysensors/Arduino/libraries/MySensors)

Old topic, I know. Did anything ever come of this? I'm also thinking it would be easy & cheap to get the espnow working as a transport layer. I found this: https://www.mysensors.org/apidocs-beta/classESPNOW.html But it goes above my head and abilities when it comes to code.
Is it possible to extract child ID from a just sent message?

It seems you can access the child ID from the sent message by looking at the destination property. If you have the message object, you can extract the ID directly from there.
