Long Range again

I am a beekeeper which is using SlimNode for monitoring my beehives together with Domoticz.
This works just fine for my use and scope.I do want to easy my work burden for the swarm traps to detect if they have any new inhabitants.
The range of these are all within 5KM in lightly wooded small residencial areas.
My idea was just to use a simple DHT11 or a DS18B20 once every 2 hours.I realize I can use a LoRaWan sensor for this but do we have any possibility for a solution within the mysensors system?
I live in Europe. 433mhz RFM69 radio?Any other toughts?

@JonAndersen If you find a line of sight either direct or via a repeater site, Yagi or Quad might do the trick....
