Working node without MySensors network available

Hi Everyone,

I'm building a light switch which should work even if MySensors network is not available.
What I found in MySensors 2.0 is:
- if there's no network available, the system runs only "before" procedure
- once I power on Ethernet gateway (but I haven't done node inclusion), the system runs "before", "setup" and "presentation" procedures, but doesn't run "loop".
How to enable "loop" for my node even if there's no MySensors network available or/and the node wasn't included to the network?

@andriej Hi, I had problem using the main branch mysensors/Raspberry, that because of the bit-field struct (header_s) in Sensor.h They will get packed in different order on the arduino compared to the RPi (at least with my compiler, gcc). In order to fix this I created the 1.4dev branch. It uses full bytes instead of the bit-fields, but you need (of cause) to compile both the sensors (arduino) and the gateway (RPi) using the 1.4dev branch. We need to fix this in the main branch later on (and use the same files as in mysensors/Arduino/libraries/MySensors)

When connecting an accelerometer to your PC, consider its communication protocol (I2C or SPI) and the appropriate interface device, like a microcontroller (e.g., Arduino). You may also need additional hardware for voltage adjustment or signal conditioning, depending on the sensor’s specifications.
Is it possible to extract child ID from a just sent message?

It seems you can access the child ID from the sent message by looking at the destination property. If you have the message object, you can extract the ID directly from there.

Old topic, I know. Did anything ever come of this? I'm also thinking it would be easy & cheap to get the espnow working as a transport layer. I found this: https://www.mysensors.org/apidocs-beta/classESPNOW.html But it goes above my head and abilities when it comes to code.

@CodeGarage What I want is a lion powered Sensor if possible. And that in a case I can stick to the door frame. As I cannot screw or drill into the doorframe. But I have no idea how much current that draws.
