@MiKa Hi. oki, in case i'll add some explanation.. I'll be busy for this week but you can simply use the serial gw example from MySensors for getting started, this should work. I didn't need to create a special board in arduino for this board, so if you're using it, you'll need to install&use the mattairtech SAMD21 board definition for the pin mapping. https://github.com/mattairtech/ArduinoCore-samd

@canossa Sorry for the late response. yeah, since is so compact and you can get it for relatively cheap I opted in for the NRF52. For home automation, I merged MySensors with Domoticz and it works for months now. https://forum.mysensors.org/topic/7836/what-did-you-build-today-pictures/738

@andriej Hi, I had problem using the main branch mysensors/Raspberry, that because of the bit-field struct (header_s) in Sensor.h They will get packed in different order on the arduino compared to the RPi (at least with my compiler, gcc). In order to fix this I created the 1.4dev branch. It uses full bytes instead of the bit-fields, but you need (of cause) to compile both the sensors (arduino) and the gateway (RPi) using the 1.4dev branch. We need to fix this in the main branch later on (and use the same files as in mysensors/Arduino/libraries/MySensors)

Thanks for all the info all But still have the problem with vera3 on ui7 Cribben, I follow the instructions on the my sensor vera plugin and it comes up with ver 1.3 and no lib # how did you get the new plugin to load Any help at all would be welcome as ui7 is not too smooth yet.

slight bump to this topic rather than starting a new one since I have some more questions Are there any example sketches for setting variables on a node? Thinking I'd want at least 2 variables. Is there a proper way for a node to report time to the controller or other nodes? This one will be powered 100% of the time so responding to messages shouldn't be a problem. I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this one but best way to set up a sketch to report the temp every X when it isn't the main function of the node. Thanks in advance.

Now the RPi based on a new install of Raspbian Jessie, OpenHab 1.8.0 and Mosquitto is up and running and the ESP8266 MQTT client does connect without any problems. I have not changed anything in the code but Mosquitto is now based on the RPi repository for Jessie and not the mosquito_wheezy one. That seems to have fixed it so those versions are likely different but I have not put any time into checking this.
