Vera Plugin does not start inclusion

@niccodemi: Clone, but I managed to use the correct usbserial driver. The RX led flashes at Nano when I press 'start' at Vera UI, so definately something is being received there.
@kalle: Yes, did all sort of combinations of power, plug in/out , refresh etc

You Nano isn't properly communicating with Vera that's why you don't get Lib version. Are you using any other usb device with vera?
From my experience using clones for gateway is a hit and miss. After few months I had enough and bought gravitech nano which is connected to vera via powered usb hub. It has been rock steady since I plugged it in.

@niccodemi You are right. I did a telnet from vera to 127.0.0.1 3481 (got the address and port from the serproxy log). When I type in telnet, the rx led flashes on nano. but when I short pin3 to gnd, I get a lot of garbage at the telnet (instead the 0;0;3;0;5;1 that I get when the gateway is connected to my PC)
So the usbserial between vera and gateway is not doing good. I had an USBUIRT connected to the usb port on vera, but I removed it to test the gateway.

What USB chip does your nano have ? FTDI or CH340 ?
@CaptainZap , CH340. I forced the 'usbserial' driver in /etc/modules.d/60-usb-serial
I just tried to force ftdi_sio instead usbseral, but I keep getting same garbage on telnet

Update: I swapped the clone-nano by a Uno R3 , and it worked fine once I followed this post http://forum.mysensors.org/topic/265/uno-as-a-serial-gateway-for-vera
The clone-nano worked well as a wireless sensor (instead a gateway), so at least I can prototype my projects now (despite the Uno is better than the nano for it).
So it is clear that Vera openwrt linux doesn't offer support for usb-to-serial chip CH340; It should be possible to install a module for it but as it involves cross-compiling of the linux kernel I`m giving up.

I had the same issue when using a CH340 nano clone... I had to get an FTDI based one, then worked without issues. Unlike you, I wasn't able to get my genuine Arduino uno to work with the plugin, even if I resolved the serial port detection.

One more newbie here!
Despite my Vera (UI 1.5) recgonizes my Nano properly (I've set the serial to 115200 and so), start button at the UI doesn't work.
I'm able to put the gateway in inclusion mode by shorting pin3 to GND, or by typing '0;0;3;0;5;1' at the IDE serial monitor. The yellow led flashes slowly, while the gree led flashes quick, in sync with the sensor transmit messages.
At Vera IU (1.5), when I click on Start, the tx led flashes at nano, but the button itself don't activate (neither the gateway enter in inclusion mode).
Here's the gateway debug (in inclusion mode):

rvendrame@rvendrame I have this issue with my Arduino Pro 5v's, (which I bought from the link in the MySensors store page). The only fix I have found is to manually define to node for those sensors. Annoying, but it works.
