relays
-
Hey guys,
Moving forward with some of my projects. I am currently working on building a controller for a small water pump for my yard/garden. It's a 12v transfer pump. Can pull 9.5amp. So I am looking at some various relays for this.Any recommendations on some decent relays for that kind of power?
Thanks!!

The usual relay boards you find for Arduino are rated 10A, but nothing prevents you from modifying it and add a bigger relay in order to have a safer margin

I was thinking about it on the way home last night, I have a pack of 5 automotive relays. I think they are rated at like 30-40 amps. That might be perfect for this

If you can figure out a way to control them maybe using an optocoupler, it could be an option
