Capacitor RTC Real Time Clock?
-
I saw the MySensors alarm clock and thought "cool".
But replacing coin cells deep in a device is something I'd rather not do. To survive a short power outage, a capacitor based RTC could suffice?
I found some modules that do this.
- the M Cookie.
- Seeed Studio's Capacitor RTC
But it's absurdly expensive on Aliexpress.
Does anyone know of a cheap version of this type of device?

Search with "DS3231" instead of RTC. "DS3231 module" returns a bunch of modules using a battery instead of a coin cell so you should not have anything to replace for a long time.

@nca78 I did that search on Aliexpress but only found coin-cell operated ones?
