I still have not received my Pro Mini's and it looks like they are lost in the mail :(
Because I will go on vacation in a couple of days this means that I won't be able to proceed with my plugin and water sensor.
So I did some work on the gateway design today.
The gateway is based on the Nano and the volume of the board, including radio, will be something like 80x20x20mm.

I convinced myself that this is a bit too small for a standard available enclosure so I told my partner that this is the time to buy a 3D printer.
In fact it is really necessary now :)

Lucky me. She knows me better than I know myself and already knew that a 3D printer would be ordered rather sooner than later....
So, I pre-ordered the FABtotum today (www.fabtotum.com) and I hope it will arrive in September.

Why the FABtotum? Because I really like their philosophy.
The idea of having a 3D printer, mill and a 3D scanner in one device (with a reasonable print size) appealed to me the minute I saw their website.

Let the waiting begin (and let me assure you, waiting is not one of my best features)...

I use Domoticz as controller for Z-Wave and MySensors (previously Indigo and OpenHAB).
I have a FABtotum to print cases.

@jendrush Yeah, I was interested in this device the minute I read about it. Concerning the boards, they are on their way for 4 weeks now (so they say) so I hope they arrive soon!

@axillent Indeed hard to believe but it is really assuring to see the alpha doing its job and the fact that they update their blog really frequently. Open source helps a lot as well...

Sounds like a fascinating machine --- and a fascinating partner to let you have yet another toy :)

Finally during my vacation my (re-)ordered boards arrived and I have enough to move on except time.

Needless to say that I used my vacation efficiently and found (and pledged to) another 'toy': https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/omnidynamics/strooder-first-truly-consumer-3d-printing-filament

@axillent check out the project again. They are really a couple of geeks working towards creating the maximum that is possible within the mix.
It looks like they improve things by the hour or so whenever they think something can be improved.
To be honest I wish I had the machine on my desk already :)
