Contribution Issue with CLA and clahub.com
-
Hello MySensors community!
Many thanks for this brilliant project and all the contributors to it.
I use it now for about two Years whith joy and good success and also made some modifications to the library for myself.
So now I would like to contribute some of them.I followed the Contribution Guideline but stuck with the CLA registration website
https://www.clahub.com/agreements/mysensors/MySensors.Looks like the site is down at least since yesterday.
Found on the web that also others have trouble with this clahub web site. How I can proceed now? Is there an other way for the CLA?
Thank you

Welcome to the forum @virtualmkr, and thanks for posting about this.
It seems like clahub has been down for a while, and is not coming back https://github.com/clahub/clahub/issues/174
Cla assistant might be a good alternative. I'll check with the team if/how we can switch.
-
Hi @mfalkvidd, thank you for your prompt response to check with the core team. cla-assistant looks perfect.
Hope the switch will not be to complicate for your side.
-
Hello @mfalkvidd iam new to this forum and have ran into the same problem.
It would be great if the core team can find a solution.Looking forward to contribute to this project.

Hello @mfalkvidd I just wanted to ask, is there already any progress regarding the CLA issue? I have created a branch for which I would like to create a merge request for the issue #1439.
-
@luluxy no progress as far as I know.
But I think you can go ahead and create the merge request anyway. That way we can give feedback and discuss any issues so everything is ready when the cla has been sorted.
-
Hello @mfalkvidd, sounds good.
I have created pull request #1439.
Now I would like to invite/request some reviewers.
But looks like I'm not allowed to do so on the Github site?
-
Hi @mfalkvidd, just wanted to ask if there is any news yet?
I have updated my pull request #1475 and hope it will pass the CI pipeline.
-
@luluxy thanks for your persistance. Sadly, I have no news. I’ll alert the team again.

At "https://www.mysensors.org/download/contributing#coding-guidelines-core-library", under "Signing CLA", the link to clahub.com is since long dead.
Maybe you can follow this example: https://github.com/chocolatey/choco/issues/2036
and replace with https://cla-assistant.io/ ?
