Questions on battery powered and FTDI connection
-
I have built the 2*AA battery powered sensor connecting the + from the battery to the RAW of the 3,3V arduino micro. Also the radio module is fed directly from battery. But nothing seems to work (no reaction and no output to mqtt, but works when reconnected everything to ftdi). So seems 2 batteries are not enough? Or the connection from radio should be to vcc ping?
So i would like to connect FTDI to check everything out. So do i just connect it excluding the vcc pin on FTDI?

@moskovskiy82 Connect the 2AA to Vcc.

Thanks! That worked out. And for FTDI connection while running of batteries? GND+TX+RX?

@moskovskiy82
that's it

Well standard error...
Failed reading temperature from DHT
Failed reading humidity from DHTLooking at the tech sheets it requires 3V at minimum... So this can be only done with a step up?

DHT - Yes, Using 2xAA to VCC will also work untill it reaches somewhere around 2.6-2.8V where the arduino will stop working. I use booster and have nodes almost hitting a year now, still running and reporting good health.
