Noob Questions about multiple sensors on Arduino Nano

I have several temp sensors and relays I would like to automate and put on one arduino. I understand how to wire and power up everything, but the programming part eludes me. How do I put together the various bits of codes provided onto the arduino? I understand how to upload code and such but putting the code together is confusing. Please help!
