RGB Mosfet control. Which leg to pull to the hround

There are different schematics on the net. One pull the signal to the ground
Others the load.
So which one is better?

Practical difference: not much in the Arduino home automation world. But I prefer NPN since that's what the MySensors examples use.

Imo in all cases the pulldown should be on the controlling pin (gate). Otherwise listen to @mfalkvidd

@moskovskiy82 Have a look at my Fire pit RGB striplight controller, The Mosfets in that project run very cool (can't detect any heat rise at all) with 10m of rgb strip lighting connected.
