Is it possible to use Arduino or ESP8266 Module as Controller ?
-
I wonder if it is possible to use AVR Arduino or ESP8266 as a controller for simple automation instead of using Raspberry Pi or PC or some other expensive hardware. For example if we need to control a green house or a garden or some low count sensors setup ,for the sake of simplicity and for being cost effective. Kindly share your ideas.

Yes, you can program the automation yourself in the gateway or ESP sketch. Not as easy, but possible.
