How to connect two devices to the same pins?

  • Hi all!

So today I received my Arduino toys from China, together with two Arduino Nanos, two NRF24L01 and an ethernet shield.

Soooo, I've run into a (small) problem. Excuse the silly question, but how do I connect two devices to the same PINs on the Arduino?
Specifically, I want to follow this instruction: http://www.mysensors.org/build/ethernet_gateway
My Arduino has two GND and one 5V and one 3.3V output PIN, so that's no problem -- but how do I connect pins 11, 12, and 13 (MOSI, MISO, SCK) to both the ethernet shield and the radio at the same time?

Is a breadboard neccessary for this?

Many thanks for your help, it's greatly appreciated!

If you don't want to solder breadboard is probably the cleanest solution.

In times of desperation it has happened that I have squeezed in a male pin into the back of another.. but nothing I can recommend.

  • Thank you very much! I've ordered a breadboard and will try to get it running when I received it 🙂
