[SOLVED] Anyone a working example of the combination NewPing 1.9 and MySensors 2.2.0 ?

Does anyone have a working example of the combination NewPing 1.9 and MySensors 2.2.0 ?

I keep getting distance = 0, while the basic distance sensor sketch works perfectly (on the same setup), so the hardware side is OK.

@gertsanders [SOLVED]: a wrong type in a declaration gave constant '0' values. Now corrected and distances is now measured correctly.

Small update here. I've been working on the routing part. it's been years since i played with the nets, and wires on Eagles ... Oh boy, its a mess ! and while placing, moving components, i was thinking , wow, the Balun filter, the NRF24L01 are going to be impossible to hand solder correctly ! and I don't really want to buy a microscope, a $300 soldering station, ... So I looked around and found something interesting so I post it here, if some makers don't know about it, and are afraid of SMD soldering : OSH also make stencil for you, Kapton stencil for $5 ! https://www.oshstencils.com/index.php then it's a peace of cake or is it ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RMtOAHbfvU Has anyone tried it before ? That's important, but there are many other differences vs ATMega328p. Offhand, there's an extra 0.5K RAM. Second 16 bit timer (Timer3) instead of 8 bit Timer2; plus high speed 10 bit Timer 4. SPI and TWI on different pin #'s (as seen by Arduino). More ADC pins, and a 10x/200x differential amplifier; different voltage ref (2.56v vs 1.1v). And various changes to interrupts or registers based on these. So some less-used libraries need porting, as well as changes to example code. Not sure how these differences affect the core of MySensors; you might have to try it out. There's a good chance that it would work, or that the changes needed would be minor. The Leonardo is gone from the Arduino.cc product line, but the Micro is still sold so presumably the chip continues to be supported.

hello, my bad. The second capacitor has not been properly attached, now the node is communicating! Thank you for the help. note: 10uF wasn't enough, 110uF works fine for me

This might not be wrong, it is wrong to write zeros, causing the node acting as a GW: Node_0, no further transport over nRF-air required...)

@flyingdomotic I agree that references to relevant part of the datasheet for each delay would be good. Now they are just magic numbers. Without such references, understanding, reviewing, extending and maintaining the code is extremely hard. @martinhjelmare It works now! I think it is a hardware issue I have here, since I just put the decoupling capacitor in between the radio and the pin header socket. Checking that connection helped (pushing again in), and the presentation was correct now - including the sketch name.
