How do I play audio?

I just finished adding a wireless doorbell into domoticz. But that leads me to the next question, how do I trigger any audio-playback ?

I was thinking to connect a chromecast-audio to a speaker but how do I actually send an mp3 file to the speaker? or are there any simpler ways to do this?

Domoticz can send notifications to lots of things (see Setup->Settings->Notifications, including Kodi (former XBMC) so that might be a simple solution.
If you have an old Android phone you could connect that to the speaker and send Pushover notifications instead.

I have my doorbell hooked up. The controller send commands to our Sonos system.

Rabies infected barking dogs when alarm system is activated and "normal" doorbell when we're home.
