It would be nice if MySensors had a way when for example a gateway boots or an internal request something like I_FIND_NODES was sent that it could send a request to all nodes to announce their attached status. I do realize that this may be an issue for nodes that are sleeping, but maybe there would be a way. This would be nice if you have a lot of sensors and need to say recover from a power outage or something.

@dbemowsk This feature has been introduced in 2.0.0 with broadcasting I_DISCOVER. The (active) nodes reply with I_DISCOVER_RESPONSE and the parent node as payload.
