Got this to work. Very nice.

Would it be possible to use this ONLY to manage OTA updates for a network of MySensors nodes using the MQTT protocol? I have a ESP8266 based MQTT gateway but I'm using a different controller.

@maghac I guess it is possible by filtering topic only for firmware type

@jkandasa Will it be possible to provide a step procedure tutorial?

I'd love to help provide a step by step guide but I can't get it to work properly with the ESP MQTT gateway and Pro Mini RFM69 nodes. Does this controller support MY_NODE_ID AUTO?

@mpp from the mqtt build page: "NOTE: No controller supports dynamic ID assignment through MQTT"

Thanks @mfalkvidd, the table on the controller page says yes for βnode ID generation" which seems to contradict this?
Setting the ID manually still results in no parent being found though.

@mpp It could probably be made clearer, but it is not totally contradicting. I don't use mycontroller myself but I would guess it supports node id generation for serial gateways and ethernet gateways and wifi gateways.

@mpp Yes, MyController.org supports
MY_NODE_ID AUTOin any gateway (Serial, Ethernet or MQTT)On
Status >> Resources logspage can you check, Does MyController receives ID request from your node?

Great worl. Still prefer OpenHAB for my home automation, but for sensor management and OTA seems to be the way to go. Thanks!

Good afternoon. Please tell me how to add the firmware for the node to the system. So that I could then shoot it through the air.
