Forum search function improved
-
The search function on this forum has been pretty crappy since start and has rendered a lot of unnecessary support questions.
I finally took the time to replace it with something a bit more useful. A fully indexed solr instance serving the forum with more accurate results.
Hope you find the new search engine better.

@hek Thanks man, we really needed that!
However, I did a quick test, searching for 'vcc library'. First page doesn't even contain the post I was looking for, but when using google it pops up as first hit: https://www.google.nl/search?q=vcc+library+site%3Amysensors.org
Anu clues?

'VCC' and 'library' is common in the MySensors sketch header (posted all over the place). And the default is to sort by last post date which makes your post pretty low in the search result as it was posted 2 years ago.
If you search titles only, the post pops up first.
My guess is google still is a bit smarter accounting for inbound links to your thread as well.
Titles should probably have a higher weight as well.

@hek ok, seems to make sense. Thanks for the feedback!
