I just want to know If I understand correctly 3d model is not a part of the footprint in KiCad and there is no feature to create hard link footprint and 3d model when I prepare footprints. Is it correct?

@ericperonnin thanks a lot for the videos, I've just started with KiCad (with PCB design generally speaking) and starting from your tutorial has been an excellent way to get up to speed in a short time!
