Lots of Repeater nodes? (new info December 2017 requested)

Just curious,

any reason why I SHOULDN'T make any node that has a constant power source a repeater node? Stuff like lamp modules ect?

@crankycoder ok. next time, please consider letting people reading your new thread know that you have read the old threads (and reference them, so they also can easily read the old threads). Saves time for everyone in the community when we don't need to redo work.

So, what's the answer? For those finding the thread:

• If you are not using battery sensors, then it's fine to make all of them repeaters.
• After 20 failures to send, nodes will try looking for other pathways. In that case having multiple repeaters is useful if a node fails.

It might be that it takes some more space/memory on your arduino?
