💬 RGB Led Strip Board (MysX)

-
This board uses MysX and connects to MysX 2.0.1 and above. MysX connector should be placed with pin 1 towards the corner of the motherboard. It means it will not align properly if you connect this to EasyPCB rev 9 and below. You need to connect this to EasyPCB Rev 10. If you are using any other Motherboard please check alignment before using.
-
EasyPCB rev 10. design files can be downloaded?
-
@anovak not yet. I have some final tests to do but if you Pm me your email I can send the current ones and you can order (on your own risk). I'm hoping I will have it all finished and published on openhardware in some weeks.
-
@sundberg84 you can write what capacitors and resistors should be placed on the board?
-
@vladimir capacitors are only to smooth the DC supply. A 0.1uF and 10uF is what I just normally whack in there... But check the datasheet for the 5v voltage regulator you are using for recommendations. (LM2940CT = 0,47uF Input, 22uF Output)
Resistors are optional and depend on if the gate needs some current limitations on the mosfet. If you are using the recommended mosfet you can just bridge these with wires. If not...check datasheet. (Does mostefs ever needs current limitations?)
-
@sundberg84 Thank you for the clarification! Can you explain to me why you use a combination of 0.1 uF and 10 uF, instead of the recommended 0.47 uF and 22 uF?
-
@vladimir because in lazy and sometimes doesn't check the datasheet. These values comes from the LE33 voltage regulator...
-
@sundberg84 many thanks!
-
@sundberg84 Is there a sketch for this device? Where can I find it?
-
@sundberg84 And ... I do not use Easy/Newbie PCB. Will there be enough voltage at the conclusions of Arduino Pro Mini 3.3V for tape management?
I now experimented and accidentally burned the voltage regulator in Arduino Pro Mini 3.3V, applying 12 V to the RAW contact.
Today is clearly not my day...
-
@vladimir at the moment I do not have a sketch but there are plenty on the forum (Like this).
There will be more than enough current to run the normal Mysensors node.
If you use the recommended LM2940CT you will have about 5 times more than needed.
-
@sundberg84 The connected LED strip lights up, but for some reason the Atmega chip is heated very quickly and strongly. Have you encountered this?
My connection scheme:
-
@vladimir No but this indicates s short somewhere
-
Do you plan an RGBW version?
-
@yoshida I'm not sure... Maybe
