    Has someone measured what amount of rain one "tip" of the tipping bucket of the MISOL rain gauge corresponds to? It would be great to know so I can calibrate my scripts.

    EDIT: I found this article that suggests it should be 0.0161 inches which is 0.40894 mm.

    EDIT2: Another source is suggesting 0.2794 mm.

    EDIT3: packetrat is suggesting 83.82 pulses per inch which should be 0,303030303 mm

        @hek Thanks! I just saw that while editing my first post. It sounds a little bit low.

          Maybe you should do some tests to see if it is looks resonable.

            @hek

            I let 1126-202 grams water slowly flow into the 55 cm2 gauge and it generated 475 tips.

            That gives me 0.3537 mm/tip. I'll go with that. :relaxed:

              What script did you use to test Misol Rain Gauge tipping bucket.
              Finding a tutorial/testing for it proves to be difficult i'm not sure where to put the red and green wires into as well

                Old topic, but my test shows .304mm per tip. I calculated the surface area as 54.7854cm^2, which is 5cm x 11cm minus the small rounded corners. I slowly poured 60cc water and counted 36 tips. Thus, spread out over the whole surface, I poured 1.09518cm of water, divided by 36 tips equals .3042173mm per tip.
