Strenght measurements during exercises

Hey Guys,
I’m surching an good sensor to measure the Force somebody makes during an exercise. It’s for scientific purposes, the forces will be between 0 and 2500N.
Any of you’ve a good idee wich sensor type I’ve to use and maybe a link to the right sensor?Thnx for the help.

@bartseger search for load cells (used in scales) or possibly strain gauges.

Look up isokinetic physical therapy machines.
They use stain gauges or load cells depending on the foce you want to measure. Expensive, but if you are studying strength of a joint through a range of motion, it might be what you want. Might be able to use one at a PT or university sports dept.
