I have been testing by clicking on each of the switches etc on my vera lite and it only seems to be the mysensor switches that do not always send an email alert.
It seems that if I am at this pc that is on the local network when I click on a mysensors switch I get the email alerts. Also when I use my phones web browser on our wifi I receive email alerts but not when I am not here. The other thing I have noticed is that if I untick the send alert box then retick it and save it, I get email alerts again for a while.

Has anyone come across this issue.

I don't know if Vera has push notifications but its a good idea. I will try looking on google.

Could any one tell me if its possible / how to use a mysensors node to send a text when a certain condition has happened.
I am in the testing stage of my automated patio door opening system. I intend to use this to let my dog out into the garden whilst I am at work. I have ordered a Foscam PTZ camera and its my intention to use the camera to check that its safe to let the dog in and out etc.
I am using veralite as the controller, I have set vera to send an email alert each time the door is opened / closed just in case its opened by an intruder etc. The system is working well but I am finding that vera does not always send an email. So I was wondering if any one can tell me how to attach a GSM module etc to send a confirmation text or some other way of forcing vera to communicate with me.

When its working I will post a video and pictures of how I did it just in case someone else would like to improve it.

Hi everyone.

I am having a strange problem with the relay actuator sketch. I am trying to use a 2 relay board so I set the sketch to have two relays. But only D3 would activate the relay board. I swapped the relay wires In1 & In2 around and the opposite relay worked. So after a bit of fiddling I found that only D3 was changing its state. So I set the sketch to 3 relays then I could use D3 and D5 but not D4. Thinking that maybe D4 was faulty I made a test sketch that set D4 to turn on and off and it operated the relay ok.

I have tried wiping the Nano and then uploading the sketch again but this has not helped. I would just use D2 & D4 but I have made up a board to fit two Nano's on and it will be a pain having to modify it to use D4 instead of D3.

Any thoughts will be very welcome.

I am very new to mysensors and I have just built my first double relay sensor and my serial gateway. I used the Arduino nano''s that I brought from Aliexpress. I just clicked on the links on the bits to buy section on mysensors and after about a month most of the bits arrived.

I soon discovered that the Nano''s had the CH340G chipset / driver that would not work with the Veralite as the serial gateway.

So I went onto ebay and asked several suppliers if they had any nano''s with the FTDI chipset. I came accross a very genuine ebayer who explained why most clones have the CH340G chipset and he came up with the idea of using an FTDI unit that he used to sell.

I said that I was very sceptical about it working. He went onto the mysensors website and read about the set up required. He said to me that he was so sure that his idea would work that he sent me one of these units for free and he even told me how to wire it to the nano, just four wires. TX, RX, GND & 5v. I did not need to change the serial gateway sketch at all.

You just need to use the Nano's onboard USB to upload the sketch. Then use the FTDI units USB to plug into the Veralite.

I connected it up and it worked first time. So I have now brought two of these units for £3 each to keep for a rainy day just in case I manage to mess up the unit that I am using on my serial gateway.

I hope this might save someone else having to buy an expensive genuine nano. If anyone wants one of these units please feel free to message me and I will put you in touch with him.

One other problem I am having with the veralite is that the nodes for my relays seem to always have the ON box in dark blue. If I click on OFF that box goes dark blue but only whilst I have my mouse over it. But the units turn on and off brilliantly.

Please can someone tell me how to fix it.

I think that I have installed a CH340 chip driver, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. Maybe I should just put this unit in the bin and put it down to experience. Then hopefully when all the bits that I have ordered from Aliexpress arrive they will work ok.

Hi, People a couple of weeks ago I ordered lots of Arduino bits from Aliexpress. I have been looking at lots of Arduino sample sketches and I just couldn't wait for my bits to arrive.
So I have purchased a Uno R3 ATmega328P CH340 Mini USB Board compatible from Ebay. My hope was that I could play with this while I am waiting for my other bits to arrive. Sadly I am having problems trying to upload to it.
Depending on what program I am trying to upload I either get an error message like this:

I have checked that I am using the correct com port.
I have tried to update the USB driver but windows says that I am using the best driver.
I am using windows 7 64bit with an AMD processer.

I somehow managed to turn the green LED on but I don't know how.

If you have got any ideas I would love to hear from you.
