Thanks, I also checked the parts list and found that total price is more than $14, so now I see how stupid my questions was

RE: A smart home vs an automated home
Hi, @dbemowsk
Interesting topic Not more than speculation here, just an idea - would be thermal cameras that would capture size and shape of subject. By the way kinect is also could be used for this purpose, and maybe even more easily available. Basically that would allow to easily count persons in the rooms, even in the bed - if you have decided just not to get up for some reason Not sure if kineck could detect motionless person under blanket.
Another interesting add-on to the solution searching: Xandem alarm system. They claim that can detect and track more than one radio waves interfering object (subject). But they track changes in rf "net", so if someone just sleeps like a baby - not an option.
And if familiar with machine learning and video processing - I think possibilities becomes very foggy, but endless - some serious data processing and by shape, size etc. you can start recognising not that "if" someone in the room, but "who".

RE: Wall switch enclosure
Hi,
Thanks for the answer. Do you mean the standard ones wall switches mountable into the wall, something like this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Gang-2-Way-Home-Wall-Light-Switch-Push-Button-Switchs-Plastic-Panel-AC110-250V/161843079796?rt=nc&_soffid=5025613209&_soffType=OrderSubTotalOffer&_trksid=p5731.m3795
or some "flat" versions? If something different, wouldn't it be too difficult for you to drop me the link to any example of that?
Thank in advance!

Wall switch enclosure
Hi there
I'm looking for a wall switch enclosure, and in fact maybe to buy one instead of printing myself (however printing is also an option, but I think, that factory made one will look nicer).
What I'm looking is the similar to this:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/TKB-Home-Z-Wave-Plus-Dual-Paddle-Wall-Switch-TZ56D-ZW5-/122201876698?ssPageName=ADME:X:EAC:GB:3160
And need only mechanical part - i.e. those buttons. I'm sure there is quite a number of different ones out there and maybe someone of you have stumbled on some version already manufactured?
The idea is simple it is not locking after press: press up, it presses the switch and comes back to "neutral", switch down - the same - presses and back to "neutral".If you have some good 3D printing version, that would also be interesting
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

RE: 💬 Door, Window and Push-button Sensor
Hi,
Maybe it is a little off-topic here, but maybe you could point me to the right direction: I want to build nice wall switch, and from technological point of view it is not that difficult using mysensors, this part is clear, including battery powering or making some kind of power conversion from AC to DC (in openhardware there are quite a few examples on that). What is bothering me is the switch "enclosure". I have one example from TKB Home:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/TKB-Home-Z-Wave-Plus-Dual-Paddle-Wall-Switch-TZ56D-ZW5-/122201876698?ssPageName=ADME:X:EAC:GB:1120
that I have bought to try with smarttnings controller (which is not intended to work with, now I know), but what it has - it is the enclosure: it is nice switch with 2 micro switches inside (4 in total, since it is dual wall switch), that are not locking in the pressed position - you press up and it clicks one button/switch and returns back to its initial "neutral" position, you press down - again, click and back to "neutral".
I think the similar are are in aliexpress, that are called like wall wireless remote switch Transmitter, but I'm not sure about that, since I didn't bought one to disassemble.
Maybe some one have met something similar for making some nice RF controlled wall switches? Thanks in advance!

RE: 💬 Soil Moisture Sensor Pro Mini
Hi, again,
OK, one more question: if you have desoldered regulator, I do not see any voltage step up booster? The batteries will go low eventually, but you could use with the booster little longer...
Info from the same https://www.mysensors.org/build/battery -
RE: 💬 Soil Moisture Sensor Pro Mini
Hi,
Great staff
In picture you attached, looks like the led on Arduino Pro is missing. Did you desoldered it or just did something else with it :)?

RE: 💬 In Wall AC/DC Pcb (with Relay) for MySensors (SMD)
Hi, @sundberg84
I'm really interested in this module. Maybe stupid question, but I'm very new with openhardware and would like to understand: if I will go and buy through the link provided (10xPCB for 15$), will I receive already assembled unit with all the parts, or I have to go and buy parts and assemble it myself?
Thanks & Regards
