Sure it can be done, the only problem is the amount of flash of the pro mini that is limiting the amount sensors you can have when you have all securities enabled

@gohan that’s what I use in my setup - W and HW. The only exception is those Lora compatible Moteinos where I have to use either rfm95 or rfm69hcw so I’m going for the HCW version.

I've added LED strips under my stair threads for night use. I've learned the "Daylight" (most blue / harsh of the white) is the most efficient. It seems to make the "warm" whites some of the brightness is "consumed". My lights are running at ~ 1% on time (153 hz) and work great at night. There are 6 meters of light consuming 0.5 watts (including the AC adapter). The cost of the LED strips is trivial. Look on ebay, you can probable get 2 or 3 different kinds for < $10 total and see which you like best.

Also, the LoRa modules are expensive compared to 69s.

Is that both a boost-buck regulator? Did you try adding a capacitor to the output? maybe it is a little unstable and the pro mini doesn't like it

A supercapacitor with a small solar cell would be interesting - does anyone have experience (3.3/5v size of capacitor, solar cell, etc)?

Did you add an attachment? Can't see anything. I tried various combinations, if I add DI00 to D4, I cannot seem to flash it, getting errors while uploading. Whatever combination I used on D2 also didn't work. The RFM69 settings can be set for the mysensors lib with MY_RF69_IRQ, etc Did you also connect RST?
