Glad to hear it's coming along. Looking forward to the details, how it's working, board availability, final script, schematics....

Any more work on the project? I really like the concept of this.

RE: Custom node for USA wall switch module
Has anyone looked at putting this on the Vera?

RE: Low Voltage Whole House Power Supply
GREAT! Thanks much. I will be implementing this very soon.

RE: Computer power supply as 12/5/3.3V whole house power supply
Any update on the video?
Thanks for all the good videos you have done to date.

RE: Circuit drawing pen.
I think it depends on the quality of the drawing and other factors. I wouldn't discount the idea. AGiC also offers ink jet cartridges to print higher quality traces.

Circuit drawing pen.
This might be a cool way to do prototyping. OR possibly a completed (easy to build) circuits.

RE: Computer power supply as 12/5/3.3V whole house power supply
You are using standard cat 5/6 for the power run? Can't wait for the "How to video". Looking forward to replacing
all those 'wall warts'. What fuse rating do you use? Dose it vary, or do you use a standard to protect against short circuit? -
RE: Computer power supply as 12/5/3.3V whole house power supply
I know petewill has done this and was hopping he would comment. hat is one of my concerns. I'm mainly interested in the 12v.

Computer power supply as 12/5/3.3V whole house power supply
I'm wanting to do this but think there should be more to it than this, such as various protections.
Soft fail-over to my solar setup would be nice too.

I know several of you have done this.
Thanks,

4 channel AC dimer.
Has anyone used these or have any comments?
Thanks,

RE: Backlit Dimmable LED Mirror with Motion Sensor
Pete, thanks.
This will work for most situations I need. Is there an option to add the buttons and motion to one or more of the led's?
Hate to bother you again.

RE: Backlit Dimmable LED Mirror with Motion Sensor
@petewill Yes that's what I'm talking about. Just wondering how the code was modified to discretely control the 3 zones.
-
RE: Backlit Dimmable LED Mirror with Motion Sensor
Do you have the Fitzing and code for the 3 zone? I have several places to use this. Any "max wattage" info, per channel and total?
Thanks,
Richard -
RE: 110v-230v AC to Mysensors PCB board
Just a couple of questions. Most of the components are 240V, are these the same as used for 110/120v in the US? Also one of the varistors is not available, suggested alternative?
Thanks -
RE: 110v-230v AC to Mysensors PCB board
Does the light switch need to be a SPST or can you use a pushbutton? Curious how this would work with a SPST switch. I haven't looked at the code to see what is setup.

Power from flowing water
I found this on youtube, if you have free flowing water available this might be a great power source.

RE: Arduino Pro Mini 3.3v - solar power - How?
I am very interested in this as well. I would like to charge an 18650 or 18350 to power remote sensors. Having the radio sleep untill needed would be a nice touch to conserve the battery as well.

RE: Vera 3 availability
Went looking on the forums and didn't find anything.
-
RE: Vera 3 availability
OK, I had held off after there were apparent issues with the serial gateway and the Vera Edge.
-
Vera 3 availability
Is the Vera3 discontinued? It seems to be out of stock everywhere I look. Given the apparent difficulties using the Vera Edge, I wanted to get the Vera3.
-
RE: Backlit Dimmable LED Mirror with Motion Sensor
Looking forward to the "whole house power" video.
I'm building this for two mirrors as well as kitchen under counter and bookcase down lighting.
Your Vera videos have been MOST helpful. You do great "practical" work.
THANKS AGAIN!
-
RE: Vera Edge
Is anyone else having serial gateway issues, this concerns me.
-
RE: Ceiling fan control replacement
I don't know yet haven't opened it yet. But, i think its only a switch to different windings on the motor.
-
Ceiling fan control replacement
I'm going to gut the control switches in an old ceiling fan to allow arduino control of speed and dimming the light. Anyone done this?
The issue might be a 4 position relay or some other solution.

RE: Home Link to MySensors
Sparkman, this is exactly what I want to do. Was wondering if anyone had done it yet?
-
RE: Home Link to MySensors
Home Link is a standard. All cars are the same.
-
Home Link to MySensors
I'm looking to be able to hit a button on my cars home link as I drive into the driveway to do...what ever I want through my Vera.
Any thoughts?

RE: Backlit Dimmable LED Mirror with Motion Sensor
Thanks for the info. I may get this for use in the "lab" and see what you are doing with the computer power supply when you do the video. I believe many of us would like to have a 12v/5v power distribution system in the house.
Your videos are OUTSTANDING!
-
RE: Battery Powered Motion Sensor
This looks great. Are you still happy with it? Any chance you could post the sketch and wiring diagram/schematic?
thanks
-
RE: Backlit Dimmable LED Mirror with Motion Sensor
Thanks. I'm hopeing to do a "ehole house" 12v system also. What is your power source. I've been looking at
Thoughts?
-
RE: Backlit Dimmable LED Mirror with Motion Sensor
For those of us without a central 12v system do you know what the current draw is?
What is your system setup? Thinking of doing the same.
-
RE: AC diming
Another way to go is to use something like this and just convert everything to 12/24v dc. You can upgrade your lighting as you go and much easier and safer than AC dimming. If coarse there is still the ceiling fan to deal with. I will probably do that with an IR blaster.
-
RE: AC diming
Yes, they show the diagram for the Arduino and the script on the site.
-
AC diming
Any thoughts on this board? Looks interesting particularly the control of a large motor. It might make a good lamp or ceiling fan controller.
