Mysensors Library Update location

I have been using the Development branch for a while now.
I downloaded the zip and unzipped it into my sketch folder as per instructions.
Now i want to update to the latest version.
Do i just unzip to the same directory and overwrite or do i delete the old library somehow.
Very confusing because i assume i would have to back up any work i have in there first??
